English for Business (EFB)

This course aims to provide a useful grounding in business English and Professional communication skills. Those students choosing the EFB option will have the opportunity to practice and improve their business communication skills in a functional capacity. The course focuses on a wide range of topics in daily use in the local and international business community. The emphasis is to ensure that course participants acquire fluency and confidence through the building of vocabulary and structures related to their needs.

Course Aims

bullet understand and write English used in a variety of ways within a range of business contexts
bullet employ appropriate business formats and styles to produce a range of business documents for different audiences and purposes
bullet understand spoken and recorded Business English at the defined level
bullet participate in conversations and discussions
bullet make an oral presentation on a business-related topic

Entry Requirements
Applicant must be 18 years or over. We offer this qualification at levels 2 and 3. Candidates joining the programme are expected to have achieved a minimum of Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) Level B1 or IELTS 4.0 or equivalent qualification in English language.

Brit College offers a broad range of subjects. Our programmes encompass Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences and Computer Science. We also offer this foundation (access route) course which enables students to successfully progress onto the main programme. The programme will help students to develop the transferable skills they will need for their future career.
