London has always been a city of cultural diversity where people from almost all over the world meet together. It enjoins many cultures, many societies with a population from diverse communities of the earth. Throughout history it has been an important centre for the settlement of immigrants, as if London is the cultural melting pot of the societies. Today, over 200 languages are spoken among its 7 million residents. Its education sector is equally diverse with 200 countries represented among its 350,000 students. Students from all over the world celebrate London as the capital city of international students.
London has over 200 museums which is almost twice the number in Paris or New York. You will find traditional buildings and establishments in almost every streets in London. Part Time Earning Opportunity

To support living expenses while studying and reduce their debt on graduation, a part time job is part of the college experience for most students. BRIT COLLEGE provides job related information and occasionally helps in finding part time or temporary jobs. International full time students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week during term-time. During summer and semester breaks students can take up full time employment.

Is your English is good enough?
 
Brit College offers free IELTS preparation course for students who have enrolled in an undergraduate course but need extra support in English language and willing to sit for IELTS or Cambridge examinations. This course is designed to raise a student’s academic standard for further and higher education. The objective of the course is to benefit our candidates who wish to improve their English language skills for any purpose.
Course details:
Start dates : Student can enroll on the English Language support course any
time during the year onto the appropriate level.
Duration : 2-36 weeks.
Mode of study : Full-Time or supportive.
levels : Pre-intermediate, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate and Advanced.
Career route : Further and higher education.
Entry Requirements : No formal qualification is required

Are there any bursaries or scholarships available?
 
It is great news for all international students that Brit College awards its students for their outstanding achievements in their particular course of studies. These awards are made on a competitive basis. Scholarship applications can only be made once you have been accepted an offer to study on the proposed course. You can have 5% reduction of the yearly tuition fees, if you decide to pay your fees at one go. Further details of fee reduction scholarships are available at the registry. You may discuss issues in relate to financial matters with the director of studies at the college.

What about accommodation?
 

We understand that most of the international students do not have any friend or family contact to accommodate them once they arrive in the UK . In that regard the College is able to provide comfortable and reasonably priced accommodation within easy traveling range of the campus.

We select all our accommodation very carefully and monitor them on a regular basis. We ensure that the health and safety and the quality is maintained at a high standard at all times. Usually, renting a single room will cost you £80-£85 a week apart from meals which is to be arranged separately.

The college could also arrange host families for students to live with as a paying guest. You share the living room and bathroom with the family.

 
Traveling London:
 

Coming to study in the UK is one of the biggest and exciting moves in your life. You may find a bit confusing while traveling to London . You may miss your home but don't worry you won't be alone in London . Soon you will be making new friends at your college and you will be enjoying the hustle and bustle of student life.

There are all kinds of transport available in London . Traveling in London is fast, reliable and comfortable. You could choose bus, train, tube or British rail services as your mode of transport. Please visit www.tfl.gov.uk for more details.

Full time students aged 18 or over are eligible to have 30% discount on London transport. services. Discounts are also available on coach and British rail services.

Part time jobs:
 
You may wish to do a part time job up to 20 hours a week during the term and a full-time during your vacations. You can have more advice at the college reception while you are already in the UK and studying a full time course. There are a good range of employment opportunities in and around London. You may find some latest local job advertisements or local job fare events in the college notice board. However, you or your sponsor must be able to afford all the expenses while you are studying and living in the UK without needing to work.

Student support services
 
It is beyond doubt that you will find a new life the time you will be studying at Brit. This is simply not because the resources we have but also the welfare services and support we are committed to provide for all of our students. You may find a bit bewildering at first, especially as because you are moving to the city of London for the first time. But don’t worry at all! We aim to make sure right from the start that you have access to any support you might need - academic, personal, medical, financial - from people who are easy to contact and who can give you friendly and expert guidance.
The college offers support and guidance at the first point of contact for students with disabilities. If you are a student with disability you are always welcome to discuss your application with one of our dedicated student advisers, registrar or director of studies. If you are a local student you may also visit the college, to meet academic and support staff which are available to assist you at any time.
We are committed to helping students settle in quickly, achieve their ambitions and develop their talents and interests.
Obtaining student visa:
 

International students will need to apply for a visa (entry clearance) with all required documents before traveling to the UK . You must apply for entry clearance as a student at the British Council/Consulate in the country of your nationality, or the country in which you are living. If you need a visa you must satisfy the Entry Clearance Officer (ECO) at a British Council/Consulate with regard to Immigration Rules before you leave for the UK . The ECO will then issue you with a visa (known as entry clearance).

Students are required to show the following documents to the Entry Clearance Officer during their interview:

A valid passport
Completed Visa Application form.
A letter of acceptance from the college
A Letter to the British High Commission issued by the college
Confirmation of Accommodation
Academic Qualifications
Evidence that demonstrates enough funds to meet all the student's
necessary expenses while he/she is in the United Kingdom .

Student travel Guide:
 

Please ensure you have all your travel documents to hand (in hand luggage or purse) during the journey as these will be required by the Immigration Officer at the port of arrival.  Travel documents such as passport, Acceptance Letter, Accommodation Letter and proof of sponsorship. It is also advisable to carry some cash (£100 - £200) with you for urgent expenses on your arrival.   

To enter in UK as a student you will be asked to demonstrate that you have been accepted on a full-time course; that you have sufficient funds to pay your course fees and support yourself without working in the UK or claim welfare benefits, that you are qualified to take the course and that you intend to leave UK on completion of your studies.
