Learning Aim

The aim of the programme is to develop an appreciation of the people-management functions within the organisation. This course provides a general introduction to the relevance of the systems approach. It also asks candidates to consider administration in its wider organisational context. Candidates are introduced to some of the key concerns of administrative managers within a rapidly changing environment. It also develops candidate’s appreciation of the need to manage information.

Professional Higher Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality Management

The Organization for Tourism and Hospitality Management (OTHM)

OTHM of UK in collaboration with the London South Bank University (LSBU) offers professional qualifications in tourism and hospitality management. The organization has already obtained worldwide recognition for good practice. OTHM students have clear access to the LSBU's BA (Hons) Programme in Tourism and Hospitality and their MSc in International Tourism Marketing. The career progression route is diagrammed below:

OTHM PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE:

Modules
This 12 months programme provides knowledge of roles of supply chain in the tourism and hospitality industry. It also gives an indication of the main forces driving the fastest growing industry.

The OTHM professional certificate consists of the following four(4) modules:

1. Introduction to Travel, Tourism and Hospitality

2. Introduction to the Business Environment

3. Introduction to Business Communication and Customer Care

4. Introduction to Business and Finance

*Each module requires 45 hours of classroom teaching.

OTHM PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA

This 12 to 18 months programme follows successful completion of the professional certificate course. This level requires thorough study of the roles of industry players and the issues in tourism and hospitality management.

This Level requires six modules:

Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
University of London External Programme:

The University of London is one of the leading universities in the world. It has been offering its external degree programmes to students for almost 150 years. The university’s English Law degree (the LLB) is a traditional prestigious law degree.

Learning Aim
The objective of the programme is to enable you to develop critical awareness of common law & legal tradition and to provide training in legal research methods and study skills.

Duration: Three (3) years

Entry Requirements
In order to satisfy the entrance requirements for the LLB you must normally be 18 years of age at the time of registration and have passes in:

bullet Either two subjects at GCE 'A' level and at least three further subjects at GCSE/GCE 'O' level (at not less than grade C or a ‘pass’ if taken prior to 1975)
bullet or three subjects at GCE 'A' level (one 'A' level at not less than Grade D) or above

Assessment:

Career Progression:

You may want to become a solicitor or a barrister or go for employment after successful completion of your law degree. If your purpose in undertaking the LLB is to practice as a solicitor or barrister in required subjects and also subsidiary requirements, e.g. about the number of attempts at passing examinayour jurisdiction, you need to be aware that different jurisdictions have varying prescriptions about tions. The Institute of Associate of Business Executives (ABE) offers Diploma and Advanced Diploma leading to BA (Honours) in Business Management in conjunction with Eighty UK and Overseas Universities.
