Postgraduate Diploma (PgD) in Information Security an Assurance Audit (ISA) leading to M Sc Computing with Systems Security Management

Introduction:
The aim of the programme is to provide necessary knowledge through a combination of theory and practice. Students successfully completing PgD with 120 credits (8 modules) will be able to join a UK University for Dissertation Submission subject to University entry criteria. Upon completion candidates will be awarded full M Sc CSM degree.

The course emphasizes the risk exposures in an Information System environment and focuses on the internal controls to minimize these risks. The course will be suitable for:

bullet Those who are currently employed in auditing who are seeking specialist knowledge in order to advance their careers
bullet Recent graduates or qualified accountants who are seeking specialist knowledge in the areas of computer auditing and systems accounting
bullet Those wishing to pursue further research for a PhD in the areas of Information Systems Auditing and Control.

Entry Requirements
The minimum entry requirement of our Postgraduate course is an Honours Degree equivalent to that of UK University in computing or business related subjects. The basis of offers made to applicants will be reviewed regularly in relation to the demand for places. English proficiency is essential.

Each student will be considered on an individual basis. Candidates may be interviewed at the discretion of the Course Organizer or a delegated representative of the Course Organizer.

Course Structure:
Total Credits: 120 Credits

The course has a flexible modular structure and consists of eight core subjects and a Project. A particular emphasis is given in achieving an optimal balance of theory and practice; students will be given exposure to leading-edge software and assurance practices.
